John Appel  

John R. Appel Executive Vice President of Client Services and Business Development
Having been president of four nationwide service firms, Appel has over 35 years of management and leadership experience. Prior to Profiles International, he served as President and CEO of Honkamp Krueger Financial Services, Inc., a regional registered investment advisor firm.  Appel was also President of General Business Services (GBS) and E.K. Williams & Company (EKW).  Both of these firms offer accounting and related business services to niche market business owners in 500 offices throughout the United States and Canada.


Scott Hamilton  

Scott Hamilton, Ph.D.Executive Vice President of Research and Development
An experienced psychologist and researcher, Dr. Hamilton leads Profiles' Research & Development division. As Senior Vice-President and Director of Research and Development, he oversees all aspects of assessment development, supervising a team of employees and consultants and coordinating research and development for new and innovative products, as well as in improvements of current products.

Hamilton has over 30 years of experience in business consulting in human resources, personnel evaluation and selection, strategic planning, information systems, cost accounting and management development. He is also experienced as a staff psychologist, comptroller and psychotherapist in private practice.

He holds graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology and Counseling with a minor in Research.


Scott Haney  

Scott F. Haney, Esq. - Corporate Counsel
As Corporate Counsel for Profiles International, Inc. Scott Haney, Esq., provides legal guidance to the company regarding all matters of policy, procedures and corporate governance. The role of Corporate Counsel encompasses contractual matters, benchmarking of corporate communications and forms, as well as key risk oversight and liability issues. Haney joined Profiles International in 2000.

A native of Waco, Haney received a Bachelor of Political Science degree from Baylor University in 1996, followed by his law degree from St. Mary's Law School in San Antonio. He was admitted to the Bar in 2000.


Sherri Jurls  

Sherri Jurls Vice President of Marketing
Sherri Jurls has more than 15 years experience in marketing and communications. Before joining Profiles, she was the marketing manager at a home services franchise company with 6 franchise brands. Before that, Jurls worked in the External Relations Office at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.  She specializes in developing marketing and communication strategies, search engine marketing and media relations and she looks forward to putting these skills to work for the Profiles’ team.

Jurls holds a BS from Texas A&M University and her graduate work was conducted at the University of Houston.  Jurls also serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Hewitt Chamber of Commerce.


Chuck Wilson  

Chuck Wilson - Executive Vice President, International Division
Responsible for sales and operations for countries outside of North America, Chuck Wilson joined the Profiles corporate staff after being a successful Strategic Business Partner and Area Director for over 5 years. Wilson has a broad business background with over 20 years in corporate financial and executive management in both public and private companies.

A native of Iowa, Wilson obtained a BA and MBA from Harvard University, and he served in Military Intelligence in the U.S. Army in Europe.

For 13 years, he was a financial executive at Ryder System, Inc., a $5 billion diversified transportation services company, serving as Ryder’s vice president and treasurer for 7 of those years. Prior to joining Profiles, he was senior vice president and Chief Financial Officer of a NYSE-traded environmental services company in Southern California.


Deiric McCann  

Deiric McCann - Senior Vice President, International Division
Responsible for operations of the 20 National Directors in Europe and South East Asia, Deiric McCann joined the Profiles corporate staff in 2004 after seven successful years as the National Director for Profiles Ireland.

McCann has 25 years experience in senior management positions in a variety of industries.

McCann is the author of more than 500 articles published in business publications worldwide. McCann has also written three best-selling business books: The Customer Continuum, Winning Business Proposals, and, most recently, The Business Bathroom Bible. He co-authored 40 Strategies for Winning in Business with Profiles founders, Jim Sirbasku and Bud Haney.

An accomplished and entertaining speaker, McCann makes frequent keynote appearances at conferences across Europe.

McCann and his wife Marie live in Dublin, Ireland with their children David and Aoife.


Terry Flaherty  

Terry Flaherty Vice President of Corporate Strategies
Terry Flaherty is a hands-on marketing executive with 15+ years experience in delivering enterprise-level software solutions, including business process management, IT infrastructure management, business intelligence and application development.

He is an expert at demand generation and maximizing the value of limited marketing resources through closed-loop integration sales and marketing processes.

Experienced with all phases of marketing, including demand management, product marketing/management, product planning, marketing communications and strategic alliances, Flaherty has a proven track record of starting and growing marketing organizations, both in traditional start-up organizations and as new business units in large companies.

Flaherty holds an ITIL Foundations Certification and has a strong technical background with a MS and BS in Industrial Engineering.


Sally Wolfe  

Sally Wolfe, CPAVice President of Finance
Sally Wolfe came to Profiles International, Inc. in 1998 with an extensive background in financial and managerial accounting. As comptroller, she is responsible for all areas of Profiles’ financial management and treasury functions. She directs the activities of the accounting department in providing for the security of corporate assets and maintaining accurate and permanent records of the financial operations.

Wolfe also serves as Profiles’ retirement program administrator. She has assisted IT in coordinating and implementing software systems for accounting and has directed the development of new policies and procedures to accommodate Profiles’ rapid growth.

Before joining Profiles International, Wolfe worked for 9 years in various financial management positions for an electric utility company with annual revenues of approximately $300 million. She began her career in 1985 working in public accounting.

Wolfe is a CPA and received her BBA degree from Baylor University.

Mary Pribyl  

Mary PribylHuman Resources Director
Mary Pribyl brings to Profiles International more than 25 years of experience in human resources, administrative management and business development.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a PHR certification and has been an active member of both the national and local chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) since 2004.

Pribyl also served on the Workforce and Educa­tion Committee of the Waco Chamber of Commerce for several years and participated as a Waco ISD Partners-in-Education Business Coordinator.


John Bailor  

John BailorSenior Vice President, Canada Division
As Senior Vice-President of Canadian Operations, John Bailor is responsible for support in selecting and developing Profiles Strategic Business Partners in the US and Canada. He also provides direct support to Ceridian Canada Ltd.

Bailor honed his business development and management skills while owning and operating his own training and assessment company while living in Indianapolis. He has had prior experience with a Fortune 500 company working in the areas of accounting and finance and served as president for a division of Brunswick Corporation.

A native of Indiana, Bailor has a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University.

Bailor and his wife Marty participate in the Susan G. Koman Foundation. In the past, John was very active as a Rotarian.


Bob Bell  

Bob BellSenior Vice President, Strategic Business Partner Development Division
An innovative and visionary professional with over 30 years of experience in a number of industries, Robert Bell now leads Profiles International’s Development Division. He is responsible for the selection of strategic business partners throughout the North American Continent.

Bell’s proven leadership ability with skills of identifying market opportunities and implementing a Team Management Concept with synergy to maximize impact are some of his best assets.

Prior to joining Profiles in 1997, Bell was a senior executive with the United States Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as both President and Executive Vice President of two separate Merchant Banking firms. He has developed marketing objectives, procedures and sales presentations for four different companies over the last 20 years. Bell holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology.

As an accomplished public speaker and human resource consultant, Bell has had the opportunity to conduct more than 800 training and personal growth seminars for audiences of all sizes. Bell is very involved in the community and has served at United Way of Waco, Care Net Crisis Pregnancy Center, the Christian Motorcycle Association and serves on the board of his local church. He and his wife Joan keep busy with fourteen grandchildren.

Caren Shaffer  

Caren ShafferSenior Vice President, Educational Services Division
Caren Shaffer brings to Profiles International, Inc. more than 30 years of experience in marketing, management and business development. She is a profit-oriented executive who makes dollar decisions resulting in an improved bottom line. Shaffer has an extensive background in marketing and has demonstrated strengths in major client acquisition, increased profitability, organizational efficiency and client satisfaction/repeat sales.

Shaffer previously held positions as Executive Vice President/General Manager, Tennessee Division for Corporate Express 1979-1995, Chairman of Sales & Marketing Executives International 2000 & 2001, Managing Partner of CSP Associates, LP 1998-2002, and President of Success Group, LLC 1995-2004.

She has had extensive involvement with the Nashville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors 1990-1995, Sales and Marketing Executives International as President of the local affiliate in Nashville 1990- 1992, President of the Nashville Symphony Guild 2002, Vice President of Friends of Cheekwood 2003, and the Saturn Non-Direct Supplier Council Chairman in 1994.


Ken Peek  

Ken PeekSenior Vice President, Government Solutions Division
Ken Peek handles Profiles’ marketing, sales and operations for local, state and federal agencies. He joined Profiles International, Inc. in 2003 after completing a 35-year career in the US Air Force and serving 10 years with Chrysler Technologies Airborne Systems.

At the time of his retirement from the military, General Peek was Vice Commander-in-Chief, Strategic Air Command. As a command pilot, he had over 6,000 hours flying time flying 101 B-52 bombing missions during the Viet Nam war. He also flew the SR-71 Blackbird recon aircraft at over 80,000 feet and in excess of 2,000 miles per hour. During his distinguished career, General Peek held a variety of command, leadership and staff positions, including Commander of the 50,000 member 8th Air Force; Commander, Air Force Manpower and Personnel Center; Commander, 5th Bombardment Wing, and Base Commander, Fairchild AFB. His staff duties included two tours at the Pentagon where, as a colonel, Peek worked in the Air Force Secretariat and as a three-star, was the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower and Personnel for the Air Force.

Peek has personally briefed and interacted with the President and Vice President of the United States, as well as the President’s National Security Advisor on nuclear matters. Additionally, he hosted Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on her visit to Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. He has also had direct contact with heads-of-state, corporate CEOs and high-ranking civilian dignitaries around the world.

General Peek holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a Masters degree from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and attended several undergraduate and graduate level schools while in the military. He has also served as a consultant for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington; Burdeshaw and Associates in Washington D.C.; Innovative Technologies in Columbus, Ohio; and IEC International. Peek's family includes his wife Mary, three daughters, and five grandchildren.

Mike Priest  
Mike PriestSenior Vice President, Strategic Sales and Development Division
In 1998, Mike Priest joined the Profiles Corporate Development staff as Vice President of Corporate Development and assisted in selecting new Profiles Strategic Partners in the United States to market Profiles’ assessments and services. In 1999, Priest moved to the Corporate Sales Department, and is now responsible for sales and recruitment of more than 60 Strategic Business Partners for the Southeastern United States. Priest has worked with the “National Area Director Of The Year” for the last eight years, and he has assisted with developing the Profiles “Rookie of the Year” for the last four years.

Priest worked for a minor league hockey team, the Waco Wizards, after successfully completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Texas A&M University in 1994.

Priest has received his CME (Certified Marketing Executive) designation as a professional marketing professional with exemplary ethics and knowledge in the field of marketing. He successfully completed both the Conceptual and Strategic Selling courses through Miller Heiman.

For the past 10 years, Priest and his wife Susan have sponsored "Christmas for Under-Privileged Children." Susan also works for Profiles in the Educational Services Division.

David Sirbasku  

David SirbaskuVice President, Business Intelligence
David Sirbasku is a dynamic, tenacious information technology leader with strong roots in both software development and networking infrastructure. He has the ability to blend expertise in analysis, software and hardware to solve complex business challenges and create innovative business processes. With a proven track record of choosing and investing in the appropriate cutting edge technologies, Sirbaskuis a visionary in the IT field.

Currently, he manages the implementation, customization and extensions of the corporate CRMS system to match the ever evolving business model of the company as well as designing multiple points of integration to the core CRM data for applications, employees, partners and customers of Profiles International. Working for corporate departments to constantly improve processes, workflows and tools that affect efficiencies and corporate performance, Sirbasku consults and provides feedback to executives and managers regarding current and future information technology planning.

Sirbasku has specialized training in Control Data Institute Programming Associate Curriculum, IBM Training, Microsoft Core OS and Access Support Training, and MCSE Windows 2000.


Sia Ahmadzadeh  

Sia AhmadzadehSenior Vice President, IT and Product Services
Sia Ahmadzadeh is a seasoned systems administrator with broad technical experience and exceptional communication and organizational skills. With 20+ years of software development and systems management experience, he has the proven ability to successfully plan, deploy and maintain infrastructure and systems to support evolving business requirements. Sia is experienced leading technology departments in the corporate, educational and government sectors.

Ahmadzadeh was employed at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as Operating Systems Specialist from 1995 to 2000. He held the position of Technical Engineer at Crystal Clear Sound (Dallas) from 1990 to 1995. He has also developed custom business software for a number of companies, including United Artists.

Ahmadzadeh has training in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.


Sherri Streza  
Sherri StrezaSenior Vice President, Strategic Business Partner Sales Division
As the Senior Vice President of Sales, Strategic Partner Division, Sherri Streza leads the team of corporate sales vice presidents in working with strategic business partners to establish goals and develop business plans. She also advises partners on daily business operations and helps develop strategies for sales growth.

A dynamic presenter, Streza directs sales training which includes planning boot camp curriculum and advanced training schools, developing and facilitating regional meetings and ensuring that partner training materials and content are kept current. She also assists the Client Service Department with advanced training for clients on Profiles products.

Streza has over 20 years experience in franchising, sales, marketing and staffing. She is Miller Heiman trained. Prior to joining Profiles, Streza worked with franchisees of the Dwyer Group and gained experience using Profiles products.

Joe Edelstein  

Joe EdelsteinSenior Vice President, Corporate Sales Division
Joe Edelstein joined Profiles in January of 2005 as Vice President of Corporate Sales focused on selling to companies who inquire directly to the Waco headquarters. Edelstein has extensive experience in the financial service sector with specific involvement in credit card operations and marketing. He served on several committees at the National Retail Federation regarding federal legislation and consumer credit.

Edelstein has worked in a number of capacities for nationally known companies. At GE Capital he was the Mid West Regional Manager serving fifteen states. He served as Vice President and Director of Sales for Citigroup Retail Services. At Experian he was Director of Sales and Marketing. During his time at First Data Corporation he served as Vice President of North America for the VisionPLUS software group.

Additionally, he was President of Credit Management Services, a credit management software company focused on the international market. This company has customers in the US, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Thailand. Traveling in these countries provided Edelstein unique insights into how business is conducted in these cultures.

A native of Kentucky, he attended the University of Kentucky. Edelstein’s family includes his wife of 39 years Linda four children, and three grandchildren. He is active in the China Spring United Methodist Church in the youth mentoring programs.
